X -Link is middleware that provides End Users with the capability to exchange data between medical software packages and/or data service providers produced by a diverse array of manufacturers. The software packages and/or data service providers are generally categorized as Practice Management Systems (Billing), Electronic Patient Records Systems (Charting), Laboratory Systems, Prescription Systems, Dictation Systems and other categories.

Easy Business Software has produced several Direct Claim Submission modules within X -Link EDI for the Lytec and Medisoft Series of Medical Management Software for the state of Florida. These modules circumvent the necessity to produce paper claims or to pay clearinghouse fees to transmit claims to the host systems. Depending on the host system, modules will submit claims directly from Lytec and Medisoft's transaction databases, retrieve acknowledgment reports, retrieve rejection reports, retrieve claims status reports, inquire on eligibility status and retrieve eligibility status information.
